Axiom Group’s commitment to continuous improvement includes its environmental responsibility. Axiom Group was the first flooring contractor to have FSC Accreditation, an Environmental Management System (EMS) certified to ISO14001:2015 and Group-wide certification as a controlled waste carrier.
Our strong relationships with all the major flooring manufacturers enables us to push for more sustainable manufacturing methods and products which are made using recycled materials or are more recyclable at end-of-life.
As a business we purchase materials and adhesives from world-class suppliers who share our commitment to environmental principals, and we use environmentally-friendly, biodegradable and non-toxic products wherever possible.
We liaise with key industry bodies such as Building Research Establishment (BRE) to ensure we follow all the legislative trends; work with market-leading rubber floor covering manufacturer, nora® to recycle rubber flooring products and work with the Contract Flooring Association (CFA) on initiatives to recycle carpet fibre into road surfaces.
We minimise our packaging, use recyclable or biodegradable packaging wherever possible and use no products containing CFCs or solvents.
Our programme of on-going staff training ensures all employees are fully engaged with our environmental policy, which includes moving away from paper-based methods of communication and recycling all waste paper from our four regional offices.
